    About AAPT

AAPT is part of the Telecom New Zealand Group and is Australia’s third largest telecommunications company. AAPT started out as the national news and communication group AAP. In the late 1980s AAP joined with the Australian Telecommunications Users’ Group, seeking to reform telecommunications.

In 1991, AAP founded its own telecommunications company, APPT, and eight years later Telecom New Zealand bought 78% of AAPT. Telecom New Zealand acquired PowerTel in 2007, which united Australia’s largest telecommunications network infrastructure provider with AAPT.

AAPT provides Australians with phone, internet and mobile services for the home or business. AAPT also offers bundle options to combine home phone, broadband and mobile at a low cost and has coverage Australiawide with over 350 DSL exchanges.
