As smart phones go, the Apple iPhone 3G and the iPhone 3GS are very similar. Both phones look very much alike and both of them offer top of the line features but the iPhone 3GS has taken some of those features to a whole new level and introduced a few new ones into the mix as well.
iPhone 3GS: How does it differ from the iPhone 3G?
Mobile phones are constantly being upgraded to meet the demands of consumers. The Apple iPhone 3G and its successor, the iPhone 3GS, are at the top of the range of multifunction smart phones. The 3GS version though has some added features such as:
- Faster internet speed
- Increased memory capacity
- Oleophonic screen coating (which is a fingerprint-resistant surface)
- Improved no-flash camera function with autofocus
- Video recording and on-board editing
It has also upgraded with voice control, a digital compass and Maps integration features and has improved on the life of the battery as well. The iPhone 3G can upgrade its features and functions with free 3.0 software updates however, the voice control and built in compass are among the newer features that are exclusive to the new iPhone 3GS.
Added features with iPhone 3GS
This powerful phone also offers all the standard phone features like camera, video and messaging and it has double the speed of the previous iPhone version. This means that the Internet and applications run at double the speed which is a major advantage. The Apple iPhone 3GS has combined many applications to produce a phone to suit almost everyone's lifestyle. The iPhone 3GS also has the added advantage of a software keyboard which will rotate to landscape for even more ease of use and many people prefer this type of keyboard, even on their phone.
The new iPhone 3GS is slightly more expensive, however if you are after the added features and fast, easy to access Internet on the go, then you should probably consider an iPhone 3GS.
